Happiness in Action: Living Benefits of Life Insurance with Pippa Secker
In May, the Happiness Club enjoyed a lovely afternoon of financial education with expert Pippa Secker at Bice Ristorante.
Pippa is passionate about making financial education more accessible and helping individuals and families better understand the options available to protect their future. Her presentation explored an often-overlooked aspect of life insurance: the possibility of accessing certain benefits while we’re still living, rather than thinking of life insurance solely as something that benefits loved ones down the road.
Through the concept of living benefits, some policies can provide financial support following qualifying illnesses or other major life events, depending on the coverage. Having access to those resources when they’re needed most can offer an added layer of flexibility during an already challenging time.
Pippa has a real gift for financial education, making a complicated subject feel clear, interesting, and easy to understand.
She encouraged everyone to think differently about financial planning and consider how the decisions we make today can help create greater security and more options for tomorrow.
Planning ahead isn’t always the easiest thing to prioritize, especially when life is busy and the future feels far away. But taking the time to understand our options can make a meaningful difference. It’s not about anticipating every possible turn life might take; it’s about being informed, asking the right questions, and making thoughtful decisions that reflect our individual needs and goals. Understanding these options early also gives us more time to compare policies, ask questions, and choose coverage that fits our circumstances.
